It’s World Burger Day today and while I’m too busy today to make burgers for dinner, I thought I’d post some pictures of burgers I’ve made in the past. I do promise and solemnly vow to make them for dinner tomorrow – what better night for a burger than Friday night, right? This meat-filled bun brings joy to so many people. Whether it’s a simple matter of turing leftover frikkadel into a crispy burger…
Or a juicy beef patty, roasted cherry tomatoes and guacamole nestled between a seeded bun…
The burger is a food that can bring comfort after a rough day. Check out this lightly spiced chicken and roast veg burger I made a while ago.
It can sometimes even be dainty and elegant. Find the recipe for sliders here.
They’re also a great way to have an interactive dinner party. Build-a-burger night is a great way to eat and chat and compare burgers. At this burger night, I served an option of either steak or chicken as the main protein to fill the bun along with trimmings.
Here is another one with a beef patty, mushrooms, caramelised onions and Brie.
